The Most Comprehensive OT & IoT
Cyber Security For Critical Infrastructure & Enterprises
Secureworks and SCADAfence bring operational technology (OT) intelligence and security telemetry across your organization into a single, unified view. This holistic approach to defending industrial control systems streamlines workloads, prioritizes alerts with meaningful context, and enables rapid and responsive remediation without vendor lock-in.
The Proliferation of IoT Devices Increases Risk
The average enterprise has hundreds of types of loT devices, many of them unmanaged. According to research by Gartner and other firms, IoT devices make up 15-25% of the enterprise network and that amount is growing by 21% per year (doubling every 4 years). Many of these lot devices were not designed with security in mind and are inherently not secure by design. Additionally, the wide range of device types and lack of central management, makes enterprise policy enforcement and configuration management a very challenging task. IoT devices use proprietary management interfaces, often designed to be only human- readable or with an API that requires 'per-device' development.
This creates an almost impossible task for IT departments and security teams, and their ability to regularly keep track of all the lot devices connected to their network. This often results in leaving the devices and the entire underlying network in an unsecured state. There is a wide range of security gaps in loT devices, some of these include:
- Old, weak, or default passwords
- Out-of-date firmware with critical CVES
- Insecure configurations
- A lack of monitoring for malicious activity or anomalous behavior
- Violations of internal policy and external regulations
The Solution: Centralized, Vendor-Agnostic IoT Management
SCADAfence IoT Security is an agentless, vendor-agnostic, loT security, policy enforcement and management platform. It's capable of centrally managing an IoT infrastructure comprises of tens of thousands of devices of all types.
SCADAfence IoT Security interfaces out-of-the-box with all of your loT devices, regardless of vendor, model or protocol, by using each device's own native protocol. It pulls its detailed device information and configurations, and allows you to perform management actions such as configuration changes, bulk password changes, firmware updates and other necessary functions. SCADAfence IoT Security uses a hybrid approach of passive (port mirroring) monitoring for device discovery and threat detection, and active polling to pull additional details and perform user approved actions on loT devices. Passive and active methods can be used together or separately, depending on your organization's implementation goals.
Some IT departments maintain a database of connected IoT devices. However, the information is usually fragmented and limited to the vendor and model of the device. Detailed information, such as firmware versions and configurations, is difficult to collect and almost impossible to keep up-to-date, due to the rapid deployment of IoT devices. Additionally, due to a lack of centralized management of many loT devices, IT departments may not be aware of all devices connected to the enterprise network. Such unmanaged devices could contain severe vulnerabilities and pose substantial, unmanaged risk.
SCADAfence IoT Security mitigates threats by using both passive and active probing to automatically create a complete inventory of all lot devices connected to the network. The inventory includes detailed information for every device, including the device vendor and model, firmware version, configuration details, users list, logs and others.
Integrations
SCADAfence IoT Security provides interfaces that allow the technology to be integrated into current security processes, extending their reach to loT devices. Out- of-the-box integrations are available for leading vendors, and an open API is available For custom integrations. Integrations include:
- SIEM/SOC – Centralize alerting on attacks on/from lot devices, and enrich investigations with wider context (full asset info, current and past configurations, and others)
- SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation and Response) orchestration scenarios into loT devices. Extend
- NAC (Network Access Control) – Extend the NAC policy
- VM (Vulnerability Management) – Add support for lot configuration security
analysis, enforce password policy and check for application-level and firmware- level vulnerabilities - Asset Management – Enrich any asset management solution with detailed loT device information that is automatically updated and tracked
- Configuration Management configurations. Enrich CM solutions with IoT device

Scope Of Work
- Hardware Appliance Preparation and Delivery
- Prepare a physical machine by Version 2 Limited (V2) and deliver to end user environment for monitoring.
- Applying Network SPAN/Mirror Setting
- The network SPAN/mirror setting should be completed by the end user, if the end user requires us to complete the SPAN/mirror setting, the end user must be back up the network appliances setting before the operation and the operation must cooperate with a partner who is the expert to handle that model of the network appliance).
- Threat Intelligence Report
- Our team will collect the data from the system to prepare the TI report after the monitoring period.
- Report Review Meeting
- Our team will present and discuss with the end-user about the details of the TI report and provide the recommendation.
- The tasks recommended to complete remotely.
- Onsite: The services are only available for working days office hours (Monday-Friday, 09:30 am – 18:30 pm, except for all holidays), for each onsite task (For example, the service time starts counting as our colleague leaving Version 2 office until they return to the office)
- Remote: The services are only available for working days office hours (Monday-Friday, 09:30 am – 18:30 pm, except for all holidays), all remote sessions should be agreed upon by the V2 technical team and the reseller / customer.
Remarks: If the reseller / customer wants to reschedule the planned session, please update our colleague 24 hours in advance, otherwise, the service token will be consumed.
Requirements
- Before providing service, the end-user has to provide a clear cut of the NBA perimeter and how is the network setup and the listed and details of monitored switches, including: Hardware model, firmware/software/OS version and number of devices. (The solution will be working for absolute close network)
- System Requirements:
- Support network traffic SPAN/mirror setting switches (Physical or ESXi distribution switch)
